Do I need to add every SKU or variant separately in Euverify?

Updated over a month ago

No β€” in most cases, you only need to add one product per product type, not every SKU.

For GPSR-only products (i.e. products that are not cosmetics, medical devices, toys, or other specially regulated categories), Euverify allows you to register a single product type even if you sell multiple sizes, colours, or variants β€” as long as the safety and regulatory profile remains the same.

You can register one product type if all of the following are true:

  • The products are made using the same material composition
(e.g. same ceramic, metal, plastic, etc.)

  • They are manufactured using the same processes and components

  • They share the same intended use and function

  • They have the same risk level and safety profile for the end user

  • They fall under the same applicable EU regulations and standards

In this case, changes such as colour, size, finish, or design do not require separate product entries.

When do I need to add products separately?

You must add products as separate entries if any of the following change:

  • Material composition

  • Manufacturing process or components

  • Intended use or function

  • Risk level or safety characteristics

  • Applicable EU regulations or standards

If the technical file or safety assessment differs, the product must be treated as a separate product for compliance purposes.

Are there any exceptions?

Yes. Some regulated product categories may require individual entries per model or variant, even if they appear similar.
This can include certain toys, electronic products, or battery-powered items.

If this applies to your product, Euverify will guide you during the product setup process.

In short:
If your variants share the same technical file, safety profile, and regulatory scope, you only need to add one product type β€” not every SKU.
