Using and Displaying Your GDPR Certificate

How to download, display, and use your GDPR compliance certificate for marketing and trust building.

Updated this week

Who this is for: Businesses who have completed their GDPR Representative setup in Euverify.
Goal: Learn how to download your GDPR trust badge, display it on your website, and share your verified compliance certificate.

1️⃣ What the GDPR Certificate & Trust Badge Mean

Once your GDPR Representative service is active, Euverify issues a GDPR Compliance Certificate confirming that your company:

  • Has officially appointed Euverify Ltd as its EU and/or UK GDPR Representative (Article 27 compliance).

  • Maintains a valid agreement and verified privacy policy.

  • Has an active GDPR dashboard for ongoing monitoring and DSAR handling.

Displaying the Euverify Trust Badge on your website shows visitors, partners, and regulators that your company takes privacy seriously and is actively represented in the EU and UK.

🛡️ The badge links directly to a live verification page confirming your current GDPR representation status.

2️⃣ Where to Find Your Certificate and Badge

  1. Log in to your Euverify Dashboard

  2. Navigate to Documents → Trust Badge

  3. You’ll see two available options:

    • Download Certificate (PDF) – for your internal or marketing use.

    • Download Badge Code – for embedding the live badge on your website.

3️⃣ How to Display the Badge on Your Website

You can use your trust badge in two simple ways:

🔹 Option 1 — HTML Code Snippet

  • Copy the HTML code snippet shown under the Trust Badge section.

  • Paste it into your website footer (or any section you prefer).

  • The badge will appear instantly, linking to your live public verification page.

Best location: Footer area near your Privacy Policy link — it’s visible, professional, and builds confidence with customers and regulators.

🔹 Option 2 — Static Image Badge

  • Click Download Badge Image

  • Upload it to your website footer or compliance section.

  • Link the image to your public verification URL (shown in the same section).

Both options provide transparency and show that your GDPR representation is active and verified by Euverify.

4️⃣ What Happens When Someone Clicks the Badge

When a visitor clicks your GDPR badge, they are taken to your public verification page, which displays:

  • Your company name and logo

  • The type of representation (EU, UK, or both)

  • Status — Active or Inactive

  • Certificate issue and validity date

  • Representative details (Euverify’s EU/UK office addresses)

✅ This real-time verification page reassures customers and regulators that your compliance is current and valid.

5️⃣ How to Use Your Certificate for Marketing

You can proudly showcase your GDPR compliance on:

  • Your website footer or About page

  • Email signatures (“GDPR Compliant – Represented by Euverify”)

  • Pitch decks, proposals, and investor materials

  • B2B partner onboarding documentation

Using the official badge helps build trust, credibility, and transparency — especially for EU and UK clients who expect GDPR compliance from vendors.

6️⃣ Keeping Your Certificate Active

Your certificate remains valid as long as:

  • Your GDPR Representative agreement with Euverify is active, and

  • Your subscription is up to date.

If your plan expires or your representation is suspended, your badge will automatically show “Inactive” until renewed.

✅ Summary

You’re trust-ready when…

You’ve downloaded your GDPR certificate from the Documents → Trust Badge section.

You’ve added the badge HTML or image to your website footer.

The public verification link displays your “Active” status.

You’re using your certificate to demonstrate Article 27 compliance.
