Appointing an Authorised Representative (AR) for the UK

Updated over 2 months ago

Why Do You Need a UK Authorised Representative?

As per GPSR and UKCA regulations, selling consumer products in the UK market requires manufacturers to make their products traceable. This means a UK Responsible Person’s address must be included on the product packaging.

Steps to Appoint a UK Authorised Representative

Option 1: Use an Existing Authorised Representative

If you already have an Authorised Representative (AR), you can enter their details in the Authorised Representative section.

Option 2: Appoint Euverify as Your UK AR

Euverify provides UK Authorised Representative services at £200 per year. However, it is not mandatory to use Euverify’s address—you may add your own company or a third-party AR service.

Adding Your Own UK AR Address:

  1. Click Add Your UK Address.

  2. Fill in the AR’s logo, company name, full address, and country.

  3. Ensure the selected country is within the UK.

Using Euverify’s AR Service:

  1. Click Add Euverify’s UK Address.

  2. Click Enable.

  3. A confirmation box will appear showing the £200 per year fee and a Confirm and Enable button.

  4. Once confirmed, fill in the manufacturer details:

    • Company Name

    • Company Number

    • VAT Number (if applicable)

    • Company Address (Street, City, Postal Code, Country)

    • Contact Person’s Name, Email, and Phone Number

    • Position/Role in the Company

    • Website URL

    • Product Category and Details

    • Compliance Information (CE/UKCA Marking, Technical Files, Test Reports, etc.)

  5. Agree to the terms of service, confirming compliance responsibilities.

  6. Click Submit to complete the process.

If approved, you will receive an email with an agreement that must be reviewed and signed.

Important Notes:

  • Euverify does not accept certain high-risk business categories (see the restricted categories list for details).

  • The manufacturer remains fully responsible for product compliance, and Euverify does not verify technical files.
